You can start using your CargoCard once you have activated it. Please bring your CargoCard, your PIN and a valid ID document. This should be the same ID with which you applied for yor CargoCard. Are you not from the EEA or Switzerland? Then you must present a valid work permit.

To activate your card you will need, in addition to the card itself, the ID document you used to apply for the card. The 10-digit PIN is sent to the contact person at your employer. If you have entered the number of your ID and your PIN correctly you will be asked to complete a hand and/or finger scan three times. After this your card is ready to use.
