The partnership began 3.5 years ago when the Maasvlakte site was acquired. where the CargoCard payment method was already in use. Due to customer satisfaction, Truckwash 1 Group chose to implement the system across several locations. The CargoCard is particularly popular among drivers in the container sector. Owner Johannes Snoek explains, “The system was already in use and highly valued by our customers. It would be a shame to take that away. The Maasvlakte location stands as the largest truck wash in The Netherlands, attracting a good amount of drivers. The partnership with Secure Logistics has contributed to a relevant increase in both visitors and the use of the CargoCard. The payment system has now become an integral part of operations at other locations, including Holten and Venlo.

Johannes Snoek explains, "There was already strong demand, and the introduction of XS-ID Pay has only increased this. While we don’t actively promote any single payment method, the CargoCard has naturally become the preferred choice, particularly among drivers in the container shipping industry."

Truckwash sees potential to expand the partnership further, for example with pre-bookable appointments and prepayments. This would further improve the customer experience.
