To continuously improve and ensure safety at the ECT terminals, ECT introduced a mandatory safety and access test in February for all drivers visiting the ECT Delta and ECT Euromax terminals. The test is carried out via the XS -of Secure Logistics at the service point Maasvlakte Plaza, Hormuzstraat 50 in Rotterdam Maasvlakte. From September 2026, compliance will be actively enforced at the gate.
Extended opening hours XS-Kiosk
The opening hours of the XS-Kiosk at our service point Maasvlakte Plaza have been extended. You can now visit from Monday to Friday between 08:15 AM and 04:45 PM to complete the safety test.
Pilot evening opening for night drivers
Especially for night drivers, we are starting a pilot with evening opening on:
- May 19 until 10:00 PM (last timeslot 09:45 PM)
- May 21 until 10:00 PM (last timeslot 09:45 PM)
With this pilot, we assess whether there is a need for extended opening hours outside regular hours.
Please note: during the evening openings, you can only visit to complete the safety test. Other services are not available.
Mandatory reservation of a timeslot
To complete the safety test, you must always reserve a timeslot in advance via the XS-Kiosk. This also applies to the evening openings.
Important to arrange in advance
In order to complete the safety test, make sure you:
- accept the ECT conditions in our XS-ID Online portal
- have facial recognition activated on your Cargocard
