Ron Remeeus: “As Operational Excellence Manager at Secure Logistics, I am responsible, among other things, for achieving the ISO-related organizational objectives. I would like to take you through the added values of ISO certifications, what exactly does this mean? And what is the impact on an organization? “
What do the ISO certifications achieved mean?
ISO certifications are official recognitions awarded to organizations that meet specific standards and guidelines established by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO). These standards cover various aspects of business operations, with Secure Logistics being certified according to ISO 9001, 27001 and 27701.
At Secure Logistics, our ISO certifications are at the core of our commitment to quality, security and privacy. Our ISO 9001 certification emphasizes our continuous commitment to quality management, where the customer always comes first. This results in consistent and high-quality service that our customers can rely on. In addition, our ISO 27001 and 27701 certifications guarantee information security and privacy management, for which we apply security measures that protect our customers' sensitive information against, for example, cyber threats. Another part is training our staff to make and keep them aware of potential risks and to equip them with the necessary skills to manage them.
Where do we see these certifications?
Internally, our processes are streamlined and optimized throughout the organization according to ISO standards. This means that our employees follow clear procedures and guidelines at every step of our services. This results in consistent assurance of our services, which is essential for building trust with our customers.
But how do our customers notice this? Well, they experience the benefits of our ISO certifications in different ways. A concrete example is the management of personal information. Thanks to ISO 27001 and 27701, our customers can be confident that their data is stored and processed securely. This means that their privacy is protected and they can feel safe using our services.
In short, our ISO certifications ensure that we provide high-quality, safe and reliable services to our customers.
What's next?
Naturally, there are challenges associated with maintaining these standards, especially in a rapidly changing environment, but at Secure Logistics we see these challenges as opportunities for growth and improvement. We continue to upgrade our management system, improve our processes and adapt to new regulations. In addition, this year we will revise the structure of our management system and place more emphasis on transparency to further optimize cooperation between departments. By continuously improving and adapting our management system, we can work more efficiently and effectively, which translates into a better service experience for our customers.
In addition, we are preparing for the implementation of NIS2, a European directive to improve digital and economic resilience. This translates into a higher level of security and privacy for business-critical information. We will draw up the necessary measures in accordance with the Dutch implementing legislation.
Maintaining our ISO standards is an ongoing effort that forces us to continually evaluate and improve our organization. We conduct periodic audits, organize management reviews and implement concrete action plans to ensure that our ISO management system remains compliant and our processes are continuously refined.
At Secure Logistics we are proud of achieving our ISO certifications. These certifications represent our commitment to quality, information security and privacy protection. Secure Logistics continues to strive for improvement and growth, so that we can always offer our customers the best possible service!
